Had this by our back doors and it looks fantastic at night. I specifically wanted something solar that didnt actually LOOK like a cheap solar garden light and this definitely doesn't.

Andrew Collins

Really smart looking outdoor light. Took a couple days of decent sun before it seemed to be working at its best but since then no problems.

Joanne B.

The light itself is very nice and feels well made. Ours doesnt get loads of sunlight where we put it though so performance isn't always consistent. Probably more our positioning than the lamp.

Customer Questions

Questions about Mayfield Waterproof IP55 Solar Outdoor Light

5 questionsAnswered by NoxVeli
Does the Mayfield need direct sunlight all day to work properly?
Answer from NoxVeli
It performs best when the solar panel receives a good amount of daylight during the day. A heavily shaded position can reduce charging performance, so we’d choose the brightest practical location on the wall rather than placing it beneath deep cover or dense planting.
Is the Mayfield suitable for an exposed outdoor wall near a back door?
Answer from NoxVeli
Yes. Mayfield is an outdoor solar wall light with an IP55 rating, so it’s intended for exterior positions such as entrances, back doors and garden walls where it may be exposed to normal outdoor conditions.
Is this meant to be a very bright security light?
Answer from NoxVeli
We’d choose Mayfield primarily for decorative outdoor illumination and atmosphere rather than as a replacement for a high-output floodlight. It’s a good fit when you want the entrance or garden wall to feel considered as well as practical.
What are the dimensions and finish details?
Answer from NoxVeli
Aluminium with borosilicate glass.
Where is this light suitable for use?
Answer from NoxVeli
IP55 — suitable for outdoor or wet-location use. Controls: automatic dusk activation. Care: keep the solar panel clean, allow a full initial charge in direct daylight, and do not pressure-wash or immerse the fitting.
